1807 Connection: Classic “Single-Ring” Clamp Design

Design Features:
The core of the 1807 connection is a pre-sliding stainless steel sleeve ring. During installation, the sleeve ring is first slid onto the PEX pipe. Then, using a specialized expander head, both the pipe and the fitting socket are expanded together. Upon tool removal, the PEX-A pipe's “shape memory” properties cause it to retract forcefully, simultaneously tightening the sleeve. This creates two robust mechanical seals: one at the sleeve and another at the fitting's barbs.
